"Very impressive tour to Sapa"
De La Baie d’Halong aux Temples d’Angkor , December 2012
Reviewed On: Dec 05, 2019We traveled in a group of 4 to Sapa. It was a great experience with Trekking Tour from the registration of this tour in hk till the completion of the tour. Sunny, the one in charge for our trip, has provided us lots of advices in fine-tuning the tour itinerary and has given us helpful travel information. Sunny keeps on checking with us throughout our tour to make sure everything is going on fine with us. In particular, Sunny took action quickly to liaise with the hotel when we encountered some room issues on the first day at our hotel and the issues got solved right away. This is very impressive to us. And she is like 24/7 standby for us and we felt being very taken care of. For the 3days 4nights tour that we joined, everything is on schedule. Thanks to our tour guide Mu who is a very cheerful and knowledgeable. We love her laughters and the routes which she has brought us to, some of which are less busy with very tranquil environment. Her english is also amazingly fluent. Food during the tour also exceeds our expectation. We could taste the authentic dishes prepared by the villagers with beautiful terraced rice fields as the backdrops. Overall, the trekking tour with Trekking Sapa is highly recommended. It is a tour that would brighten your Vietnam trip for sure. Jesse-Australian
"Excellent way to see Sapa"

Reviewed On: Dec 05, 2019We asked for a two-day-trip with more trekking than the “tour-package” contained. The tour operators where very helpful and planned an amazing tour experience with an incredible guide, Phang. The transport to Sapa with night train and the transport by bus after the tour were very comfortable and on time. The first day we walked for about 5hours up a mountain Ban Khoang and down on the other side to a nice village for lunch. There where no tourists on the way and we felt like we where all alone in the mountains. Then we had an amazing night staying at the Bamboo Sapa Hotel. The next day we walked with many tourists and women selling hand made crafts. This was a bit annoying, when the women asked many times for us to buy something. The total impression of this trekking tour was still amazing and we strongly recommend others to use this company to experience wonderfully Sapa! Donald –American

Reviewed On: Dec 02, 2019I researched and sent an online enquiry to Trekking Sapa Co Ltd. I received a response within 24 hours from a travel consultant Ms Ha Hai. She prepared a tailored trekking & cultural 3 day itinerary for myself and husband. She was very prompt and patient with my never ending questions, as I needed to ensure this trek was not too difficult as my husband has a knee injury. Ms Hai kept in touch with me on a regular basis via WhatsApp in Australia before our departure and whilst travelling in Vietnam. She met us at our hotel in Hanoi and briefed us about our itinerary. Very personalised and professional service, and provided names for our tours guide to collect us from the hotel to take us to the train station for overnight train journey to Lao Cai and also the local tour guide in Sapa. I cannot fault the service and timings of all the pickups, departure times the friendly private car drivers and especially our Trekking guide Ms Sang. Her knowledge of the Ethnic minorities of the hills was amazing. Trekking through the local villages learning about their daily lifestyle, stunning views of the rice terraces and agricultural gardens was breath taking and educational. Local lunches provided in the villages were delicious. At the end of our trek each day we looked forward to going back to the magnificent 5 star Bamboo Sapa Hotel to rest and enjoy our daily foot and body massages, swim in the infinity pool overlooking the village and terraced rice fields. We had a great experience of trekking and leisure. I recommend comfortable walking shoes, a camera is a must and rain jackets as the weather changes very quickly. I can highly recommend Trekking Sapa Company to tailor your itinerary to suit your needs. A professional tour company who provide the best quality of service I have ever experienced in all of my travels throughout the world. Thank you Ms Hai and Ms Sang for making our Trekking in Sapa memorable. Clairemarie-British

It seems three-day tour wasn't enough for the curious travellers like us, who always quest for beauty and culture of Sapa. We will come back and stay longer soon. Vanessa -United States

Reviewed On: Feb 06, 2019What turned from being a brilliant trek to a wonderful life experience with Trekking Sapa. The first day trek is through the mountains, it is tiring so be prepared for a slog, the local guide will accommodate to your needs, but this isn’t a walk up a hill. The views, and dramatic scenery as you climb gets better and better. If you’re lucky you’ll see some nature too. The homestay you will receive some of the best food you’ll eat in Vietnam (this is a week or so after the visit and no tummy troubles, so don’t worry). The second day is more mountain climbing but it’s mixed in with local villages walking through their farms and getting to see the day to day life. Make sure you ask about the Hmong people, they are very proud of their heritage and it’s a fascinating story. I could go on, but you should see for yourself! Mellissa - Australia

Reviewed On: May 08, 2019We had an amazing experience with Trekking Sapa, and with our most lovely, impressive guide My, our young guide from the Black Hmong tribe. I cannot recommend TREKKING SAPA and the traditional homestay highly enough! We did this trip in our group of 11 persons, who agreed that this was a not-to-miss experience. Mr Hong in TREKKING SAPA will book your overnight train trips to/from Hanoi and will arrange your transfers to/from their community center in SAPA. When you arrive after the overnight train ride and 45 minute drive up to SAPA, you are greeted with a warm breakfast and a hot shower. After a briefing on the history and culture of the local tribes and an overview of the important social justice work TREKKING SAPA is engaged in in the region, you will meet your guide. We were so lucky to be paired with My, she was warm and engaging. We walked with her to the Sapa market to pick out our lunch food (a fascinating experience in itself). Walking across rice terraces, through bamboo forests, and past water buffalo and other local animals, we traversed breathtaking landscapes to arrive at local house, where we met her family and cooked a delicious lunch. The afternoon was spent trekking further to the valley, where we spent a lovely evening eating more great food and learning about the local role. We learned so much in and experienced some of the most beautiful scenery in Vietnam. A MUST DO EXPERIENCE FOR ANY VIETNAM TRIP! Mr.Jonathan -United Kingdom

Reviewed On: Apr 11, 2019My My family did a one-night stay in Sapa with TREKKING SAPA and we all agree it was the most exceptional part of our entire trip to Vietnam. The staff are extremely helpful with setting everything up and will even take care of booking your travel from Hanoi to Sapa if you need. Once there, you're greeted with coffee, breakfast, and a hot shower in a cozy office space with a handful of other guests doing trips that day. Hong, one of the founders of TREKKING SAPA, gives a great and detailed history of the Sapa area and the Black Hmong community that you won't get from any other tour agency. They've done a ton of research and spoken with many members of the community to gain insights into the history of the villages that few other people have. After that, you're introduced to your guide--a local Black Hmong that will serve as your host and friend for your upcoming trip.

Reviewed On: Apr 11, 2019The moment we walked into the doors of TrekkingSapa, we were greeted with open arms and were taught all about the Hmong people and villages. I knew very very little about these people and the history of these people.I would encourage anyone thinking of touring Sapa to explore with a local guide. Our hike to pans home led us through many people's homes and backyards. We shared food an drink with strangers and family. We brought fresh meat and vegetables to people's home along the way and shared lunch with them. As the name implies this is an extremely ethical tour that promotes health and wealth in the local villages who, without the support of TrekkingSapa, would not be as educated and given the opportunities they now have.It was a Magical experience! Reviewed On: Aug 19, 2017My tour with Dzung in Sapa was absolutely wonderful. I first made a trip to local market to buy some ingredients for lunch before proceeding on the hike to her place for lunch. I really enjoyed our conversations along the hike to her place during which she shared with me so much about her culture. Along the hike, i was greeted with some beautiful views of Sapa. Lunch at her place was definitely one of the best part of the trip. Probably because I was hungry from the hiking. It's amazing to see them cooking delicious home made food over the fire. Reviewed On: Dec 22, 2016We enjoyed three fabulous day trips with Ngoc of Trekking Sapa. On Day 1, we were met in Lao Cai following our arrival by overnight train from Hanoi. After breakfast, we were driven to the Can Cau market, which was one of the best and most colorful markets we have visited anywhere. The water buffalo part of the market was particularly interesting. We appreciated that Ngoc stopped along the way to show us leaves from cinnamon trees and for a taste of fresh pineapple. On Day 2, we trekked (via the buffalo trail) through the mountains and villages of Lao Chai and Ta Van. We appreciated that Ngoc provided us with the option of walking on the buffalo trail which meant we saw fewer tourists On Day 3, thanks again to Ngoc, we changed our planned trek to one that that better suited our interests and where we saw even fewer tourists. This trek took us through the villages of Lao Chai and Ta Van, once again taking the buffalo trail where possible. We appreciated this flexibility and enjoyed the beautiful and varied landscapes and villages. We would highly recommend these tours and Trekking Sapa. Ms.Pamela Bergmann -United States

We were met at our hotel by Mr Hong who transferred us to the train station for our overnight train trip from Hanoi to Sapa. Our family of 2 adults and three children (aged 8, 10 & 12) all thoroughly enjoyed our exciting overnight train experience and slept soundly. The 3 kids and I were in one cabin and my husband was next door in another cabin with other male travellers. On arrival in Sapa we were met by our most delightful guide Pan. I simply cannot thank Pan enough for being such a wonderful guide for our family. We simply loved our 3 days in her company. Her expertise and local knowledge is second to none, and she was always warm and patient with our children and their endless questions. We stayed one night in a local homestay (which was fabulous fun) and the second night in the Amazing Hotel Sapa (beautiful hotel). Our treks each day provided us with spectacular scenery and breathtaking views as well as a real insight into the local tribes and their customs. Throughout the trip the food was always plentiful and delicious. 3 days after our return to Hanoi, my husband realised he had left his favourite jacket on the train from Sapa to Hanoi. We called Mr Hong, who assured us he would follow it up with the train company. We did not hold out much hope, however, as is so often the way with Vietnam, we were delighted and greatly surprised when 2 days later we received a call from Mr Hong advising us he had located the jacket and was couriering it over to our hotel. He refused payment for this. Thank you Mr Hong for going above and beyond our expectations. And thank you Pan for being such a wonderful guide, we will certainly be recommending you to all our family and friends.

Reviewed On: Feb 02, 2016I thought it would be a pleasant two day hike through some rice fields. Wrong!!!! Firstly, wear sensible (preferably waterproof) shoes, take a backpack with a change of clothes (and just the essentials), and a raincoat (a poncho is fine). Also, be reasonably fit, especially if it is wet. I personally could not have done it had it not been for our wonderful guide, My, and the lovely Black Hmong ladies. Haven't laughed so much for years .... right out of my comfort zone. Mainly due to being horizontal in the mud on more than one occasion. Along the way you see magnificent scenery (even though it can be very misty), different Vietnamese minority groups, schools and lots of happy natives, who, by our standards, have very little materially. I was amazed by how the women dye their cloth and then make intricate designs on their home sewn clothes on ancient Singer sewing machines. The homestay was great and the dinner scrumptious. Couldn't get to the waterfall the next day as it was just too wet. Had I known what the trek was going to be like, I wouldn't have done it. But all I can say is that I am very, very glad that I did.

I love to explore the world on my bare feet, when I came to Vietnam I intentionally try to do the same thing. I booked a 3 day tour with Mr Hong from Trekking Sapa company. I have an advice for people looking for a pleasant trip that you should get there by bus. However I think I love this place right upon arrival, the green paddy fields everywhere on the mountain’s back and the flickering sunshine through the clouds make a breathtaking sight in front of my eyes. This place is interesting with local people dressing in colorful colors and grilled meats are always ready with local wine. The wine is quite strong for me, I couldn’t take two 0.5 litre bottle at once. The tour guide was friendly and showed us the most marvelous peek and high spots where we could have an overview to the landscape below. The weather is cold unlike other parts of Vietnam so don’t forget to bring your coat for the trip.

Reviewed On: Nov 12, 2014The trip was billed as an adventure and it certainly was. This was a really interesting addition to our already fabulous adventure in Vietnam, a country that I had totally underestimated. The overnight train from Hanoi was a bit of an adventure in itself. As daylight started dawning we could see that we were in incredible scenery in the mountainous region of Vietnam. We arrived at Lao Cai, close to the Chinese border, and were met at the station by a rep.holding a board clearly marked with the Trekking Sapa logo and our name. We drove to Sapa through simply amazing countryside and after breakfast set of on our adventure. For the next three days our senses were bombarded with the most incredible sights I have ever seen. The people are just amazing, like something off a David Attenborough programme. We walked over rickety looking bridges, high above roaring rivers and visited villages where ethnic people live. The rice terraces look unreal and are very pretty. These people work harder than any I have ever seen. It’s very humbling to see them. Our drivers and guides throughout the trip were excellent. I loved this trip, top marks.

Thank you very much to the whole staff from TrekkingSapa.com! Mr. William Pell

I'd do the three days if you're doing it for fun, I'd also get the breakfast at the home stay it's very good for very little.. Best regards, Diana

Hong and our tour guide Mrs Pang not only provide amazing experiences with the local communities but they go out of their way to ensure your experience is tailored to your individual needs. We were travelling with our mother-in-law who was 79 and were a bit nervous about visiting Sapa as much of the posted experiences include trekking. TrekkingSapa made great recommendations to suit our needs and made sure all of us were able to access each activity. The tour was extremely well organised, and an authentic experience that gave us a great opportunity to experience the local culture.

One an afternoon walk thru the Hmong Villages in the town surrounds with our guide Pang. She was brilliant, informative, easy to understand and very knowledgeable. The following day Thu arranged a full day tour to Bac Ha and Lao Cai with Dong who was also amazing. Their costs were very inexpensive for a private tour and our driver was very safe. I would recommend if you are looking for a great tour company in Sapa, you give trekkingsapa and visit or call. Thanks Thu.

She was hilarious and made me feel comfortable right away, like I had known her for years. I had tons of questions and she answered all of them. She took pictures for us and helped me with some of the difficult patches so I wouldn't fall. The area was gorgeous and we got to see a lot of animals and local people. Lunch was tasty and she easy accommodated my vegetarian diet. Later that night we met up with our guide and her friend at a local bar and had a rowdy night out, playing pool, delicious wine and good music. I highly recommend them for trekking and I bet a homestay would have been lovely too.

We contacted them by email to arrange two days walking before we arrived in Sapa. We were allocated Dong who is one of the founders as a guide. Originally we intended to do a home stay but in the end decided it was not for us. Dong took us on a lovely trek, giving us the option to go off the tourist trails which we did. I found the trekking quite hard due to a slight disability but my wife had no trouble. The second day we did an easier walk. Dong was very informative and spoke excellent English. Before we set off she discussed our route and gave us the option of choosing where we went and how easy or difficult we wanted it to be. At the end of the walk we got lifts back up the hill on motorbikes (great fun) but could have chosen car or bus. Would definitely recommend using trekkingsapa. Best regards, Ashraf

"Very impressive tour to Sapa"

AustraliaWe traveled in a group of 4 to Sapa.

United StatesWe asked for a two-day-trip with more trekking than the “tour-package” contained.

United KingdomI researched and sent an online enquiry to Trekking Sapa Co Ltd.

AustraliaWhat turned from being a brilliant trek to a wonderful life experience with Trekking Sapa.

United KingdomWe had an amazing experience with Trekking Sapa, and with our most lovely, impressive guide My, our young guide from the Black Hmong tribe.

AustraliaMy My family did a one-night stay in Sapa with TREKKING SAPA and we all agree it was the most exceptional part of our entire trip to Vietnam.

MalaysiaThe moment we walked into the doors of TrekkingSapa, we were greeted with open arms and were taught all about the Hmong people and villages. SpainMy tour with Dzung in Sapa was absolutely wonderful. I first made a trip to local market to buy some ingredients for lunch before proceeding on the hike to her place for lunch. Dzung not only asked me on what I like to eat but was also very accommodating to my pace of hiking. The meal was simple, very delicious and extremely heartwarming to have together with her family who was very welcoming. Ms Elena Perez De Carrasco –Spain

United StatesWe enjoyed three fabulous day trips with Ngoc of Trekking Sapa.

AustraliaOur family has just returned from Vietnam where we were very fortunate enough to travel to Sapa with TrekkingSapa.com.

AustraliaI thought it would be a pleasant two day hike through some rice fields.

United StatesOur group of 4 friends did 3 days tour with Mr Hong at TrekkingSapa.com. All were excellent. Pang, our Hmong guide was so warm and we had a wonderful time visiting her family while learning about Hmong culture and way of life. The trekking tour took us far from the beaten path, seeing beautiful sights and a village with no other tourists. I didn't want it to end! Best of all though was the highly personalised approach to the adventure. Mr Hong and Pang are amazing people, incredibly flexible and went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our time in Sapa. Their passion for the people and region are infectious. We only have good memories to bring back. Wirunwan - US

LatviaThere’s no short way to happiness and it’s true with the Sapa trekking tour.
"My Adventure in Sapa"

United KingdomThe trip was billed as an adventure and it certainly was.

NetherlandsThis Sapa is everything you could ever want from your vacation. Beauty and great people. This was a great trip, everyone on the tour said the same. I traveled with my wife and our two friends and we said it was the best ever vacation. We spent two weeks in Vietnam and traveled all over. When we went to Sapa it was so special. It is very beautiful and enjoyment is everywhere. We had happy nights in the hotel bar and great days exploring. Everywhere we went the people came out to see us and to talk.

CanadaI found Mr Hong from TrekkingSapa.com on the internet when planning the first 9 days of our trip to Vietnam. Hong organised everything for our family including trips to Sapa, Halong Bay and Hanoi . There was always someone to meet us and pick us up from hotels, trains and airports. We did private trekking yours in Sapa and a city tour in Hanoi. The group tour in Halong bay was also excellent. It was great to meet Mr Hong when we stayed at hotel in Hanoi. Finally the price of the trip was very reasonable and we thought it good value for the services we received. I would not hesitate to recommend this travel agent if visiting Vietnam.”

CanadaWe did the 3 days tour in Sapa and stay 01 night at Hmong Homestay which we really loved! The view was magnificent (even with a few clouds) and the homestay was just one of the best things we ever did. Our host was so welcoming! Best part, of course, was the cooking (making a spin roll perfectly isn't that easy and our host made sure they were all perfect!) ;-) But than it tasted even better! Thank you very much to the whole staff from TrekkingSapa.com! Mr. William Pell

United StatesWe went with TrekkingSapa.com after recommendations on the internet, the services was outstanding. Our guides Mr Dong were excellent and made us look like old men, they provided dinner at the local homestay to our surprise and have a good grasp of English. I'd do the three days if you're doing it for fun, I'd also get the breakfast at the home stay it's very good for very little.. Best regards, Diana

United StatesWe spent a few days in Sapa and booked two adventures. We had a wonderfully clear day on our Mountain Rider tour and our two guides were warm, friendly and informative. The home visit with lunch was very enjoyable. TrekkingSapa.com provides a high-quality, high-value experience while respecting the way of life of the people of the region. I highly recommend TrekkingSapa.com to my fellow travellers.

United KingdomI highly recommend booking with Mr Hong from TrekkingSapa.com.

FranceThe tailored experience that TrekkingSapa.com offers allows you to get exactly what you want out of your visit to Sapa. Don't look anywhere else because these are some of the few people in the region who actually care about the local tribal people in the region.

United KingdomWe visited trekkingsapa for advice on things to do around Sapa. We were helped immediately by Thu who was fantastic. We booked two tours with them. Thanks Thu.

United StatesI & my wife booked this tour independently and it was simple and quick to arrange. Met our guide the next morning and headed out.

United KingdomWe actually booked tour “Sapa Adventure Tour 3 Days / 4 Nights” withTrekkingSapa.com. Mr Hong - The guy I dealt with by email was very clear, and was the same person who met us at a local Hotel in Hanoi on the day we start by night train to Sapa. The guide in Sapa is excellent in English and very helpful. We love Vietnamese food. We have a wonderful Sapa Tour. We would definitely use this company when we come back again in December and highly recommend TrekkingSapa.com to others. Best regards, Graham Gardner

IndiaI & my husband had heard about trekkingsapa through tripadvisor. We sent to them request for the Tour in Sapa.

AustraliaThe contact with Mr Hong from TrekkingSapa.com has been perfect and without any hick-ups from the beginning. He worked out a very tempting programme for the 4 of us . But off course you can never tell for sure until you experience it for yourself. Well, I must say the only thing we regret is that it's over already. We have enjoyed every bit of it: from the city tour in Hanoi to the 3-day hiking tour in Sapa (very recommendable) to the beautiful. Mr. Hong handles his customers with the greatest care and is very responsive towards any request you might have. We would definitely recommend TrekkingSapa.com to other people, first-timers or well-experienced travelers will find what they look for here.

United StatesOur guide Ms Pang was friendly, informative and professional. She answered all our questions and more. We chose a trek which brought us by car to see the waterfall before setting off for a 4 hours trek to our homestay. The homestay is the best in the area and we can see why. The beds are comfortable and clean. The food is better than most restaurants we had been to. The owner was an extremely welcoming and interesting man. The trip may seem a little overpriced but at the end of the day you get what you pay for and this trip was well worth it!!
