It can be said that the journey to Thac Bac (Silver Waterfall) is really one of the most unforgettable experiences in all the Sapa tours in Vietnam, with terraced fields, lush forests, and flowers blooming. This place has always inspired many people who love to explore and find new experiences.
To travel to this amazingly beautiful waterfall, tourists can take a bus or ride a motorbike from Sapa and move about 12 km to the west until they reach Silver Waterfall, one of the best Vietnamese waterfalls which also hides a lot mysterious and wonderful features.
1. The Imposing and Magnificent Thac Bac
Experiencing the zigzagging roads, taking deep breaths in the fresh mountain air, and listening to the sounds of nature,… Everything in Sapa can attract visitors and make them fall in love with right at their first sight. This destination goes through four seasons each years but no matter which season it’s in, you can easily meet the mist in the early morning here. Especially in the area around the Silver Waterfall, which has a chilly summer.

2. The Unique Mountainous Tastes
Going along Silver waterfall, you can easily meet Hmong girls carrying baskets or sling lovely babies. Their cheeks are pink, their smiles are charming and they will offer hand made products for guests as souvenirs.
The highland markets here are also an attractive spot of this place, and the most popular merchandise here are souvenirs of ethnic minorities such as rings, hats, purses, embroidered towels, alcohol, valuable medicinal plants derived from Hoang Lien Son Range, and herbal tea. Especially, brocade products are really various and extremely impressive colors. Besides there is a food zone serving mountainous specialties available for visitors.

Coming to these markets, visitors can have chance to enjoy Sapa’s specialties such as chicken, pigs, jute vegetable soup, “thang co” and more. They are all very unique. Many travelers also like to sit under the trees or teahouses to enjoy baked sweet potatoes, grilled corn, grilled chicken eggs and more. And the kind Hmong girls, in bright costumes, will always invite guests to enjoy their traditional apricot wine.
There’s also another attractive dish that make tourists remember about this place, it is “com lam” (bamboo rice) served with grilled sparrows, grilled frogs or barbecue.
Also, guests can ask ethnic villagers to visit and enjoy “home-stay” services at their houses.
Charming H’mong girls
Currently, most of ethnic minority women/girls who specialize in guiding tourists in Sapa can speak some languages such as Vietnamese, English, and French very fluently.
