Reviewed On: May 15, 2019Me and my friend did a two day - one night trek with Sapa. We arrived with the night train in the morning (you can get good sleep there and we heard from many people, that it is better than the night bus). We got picked up at the train station. At Sapa office we had enough time for a shower, tea and some information about the organization and the project with the Hmong Locals. Our two day trek was with guide Phinh. We had Lunch at her House and Dinner at her parents House. Do the homestay option - it is really worth it, eating with the whole Family and sleeping in there House. For a private tour, beautiful treks where we met nearly no tourists (apart from one village we walked through), TrekkingSapa did the best to give a a great time and the Money was worth it!!! Both ladies are named My, they are very lovely and sincere. We managed to have some great conversations and insights of their culture. They cooked us lunch, and we ate together in a hut with an open view. We also made cross stitching, using the traditional weaving machine, polishyng fabrics... At the end of the day you keep the crafts you made, and My also made us extra phone bags and bracelets! Sapa people are by far the kindest people I have encountered on our Vietnam trip. From the time she met us at the train until she returned us there two days later she was a delight. She was friendly, knowledgeable and listened to what kind of trek we wanted. We were on a private trek and did not want to be going where all the other tourists were so she took us on quiet trails through rice paddies and farms with breathtaking scenery. She spoke English well and was easy to understand as she told us about how things are done, farming work, about the schools and how handicrafts are made. Our shuttle from and to the train was comfortable and we felt very safe with the driver. Our hotel room was perfect with a beautiful view of the valley. Our lunches were delicious!

Reviewed On: Feb 01, 2016Sapa is one of the best places for trekking that I have been to. The hills, the chill weather and the local people are amazing. I was speechless in front of the beautiful rice fields in early morning (I have loads of photo but the internet connection is too low to upload them here). The must-see place is the market where you can find great cheap foods, mostly grilled meat, corn, baked rice in bamboo and others. One minus point for Sapa is the children following you and asking you to buy something, or simply putting anything on your hands and if you take it, they've got you! You will have to pay for it! So never take anything from those children. I know they are poor and just try to make a living but that's definitely not the right way. The government should really do something about this. Apart from that, everything else was great. Can't wait to take my girlfriend there next year

TrekkingSapa.com seemed to deviate from this formula with their unique routes and personalised tours. I was looking forward to join them during my stay in Sa Pa. I’ve travelled extensively and the scenery in Sa Pa has to be some of the finest. The landscape changes every few minutes and the vibrant colours and natural beauty are matched by the beautiful people and local developments. Our visit to the black Hmong village was unforgettable. This is a remote village about 50km from Sa Pa with close to zero tourist traffic. Exploring the village, seeing how the local people lived and getting a chance to to to interact with them was a privilege and an extremely special experience. TrekkingSapa.com is not only top notch tour company, but run by genuine and generous people that are passionate about supporting the local communities in Sa Pa, while making sure you have the best experience possible. Reviewed On: Jan 08, 2016We took a private 2 days tour with Mr Hong from TrekkingSapa.com to the valley in Sapa, which involved lunch with a host family. Travel's a very personal thing. We would rather not be herded from one bogus Disneyland ride to another, getting our photo taken in the same spot as everyone else. We want to see the real face of the places we visit and the TrekkingSapa.com helped us do that in Sapa. We met, ate and drank with many generous charming tribespeople. We were also first hand to the stark reality of rural life in Lao Cai - little sanitation/toilets, terrible infrastructure, campfire indoors without ventilation, hunger for some, and its fair share of poverty-exposed related social problems. I was very skeptical about booking a tour online with a company that I was not familiar with, however, after taking the time to do my due diligence on your company over several months, and comparing the price of the same tour with other travel agencies, I have reached a conclusion that your company was the right company to book this trip with. I also appreciate your thoroughness in responding to each of my questions, during the evaluation period. I was very impressed that you did everything that was outlined in the confirmation letter, the detailed itinerary, and more. Your prices were very reasonable, the accommodation that was customized to our needs were great, and our Sapa tour guide Pang; she was so great and personable, and became like one of our family members. Reviewed On: Jan 05, 2016We booked our Sapa tour through the Trekkingsapa company and we are really glad that we opted for them. Their services were much beyond our expectations. We received more than what we had thought we would. The guide was an expert in regional knowledge of this place. He took us through the local markets where we saw a few local people clad in their traditional attire. He explained a lot about the traditional handicrafts of Vietnam that we could buy at this place. He even suggested some good kind of souvenirs that these traditional crafts would make. We were taken to many other tourist destinations of Sapa too. Our driver drove the vehicle safely and smoothly. He too joined us in our enjoyment. I loved our visit to the Cat Cat village where the village folks expressed their warmth through their friendly smiles and by serving us traditional sweets. The terrace paddy fields were wonderful sights to behold. The visit to the Silver Waterfall is still fresh in my memories.

Reviewed On: Dec 07, 2015Anna and I don’t want to risk our precious time in some strange places in a strange country like Sapa in Vietnam. We looked up so carefully on Tripadvisor and decided to booked a short tour for 2 days with Mr Hong from Trekking Sapa company. Our group consists of 6 people so we booked the tickets for a private cabin on the train. Quite comfortable for not sitting among strangers, lol. The air changed rapidly from the hot atmosphere in Hanoi to the cool breeze of Laocai. We had a hearty breakfast in a local restaurant and met some local Hmong people at Cat Village. The guide told us that the name Cat has the exactly meaning of cats. People here have to cwalk up the rocky mountains with their own bare feet so they are quite flexible and the act of “walking” up the mountain upright like that makes them look like cats. I saw some kids playing around and climbing up the mountain nearby like that. So exciting! One more impressive thing about the place are the paddy fields. Farmers build their fields right on the mountain backs everywhere. When we got up to the high ground and looked down below, the sight was awesomely fabulous, a giant architecture in the heart of nature. You may ask the tour guide to show you the food “court” area. It actually looks like a small marketplace in town where people sell grill-on-skews and the very special rice in the bamboo. We regret not booking a longer tour. However, it was a good experience and we think we will enjoy Sapa next year

Without doubt, this was a highlight of our 3 week trip to Vietnam and an experience that I will be talking and thinking about for a long time to come. The Sapa scenery was beautiful and we were lucky to have clear weather- but the best part of our trip was our guide Pang. We contacted her last minute, but she met us in Sapa the following morning ready for 5-6 hrs of trekking, knowing the route like the back of her hand, offering interesting info along the way about the local villages, and making the whole experience fun. She could also explain to us about the culture of the different ethnic groups of the area. We stayed overnight in homestays which were standard but very clean (with western toilets and hot showers). The family were very hospitable and great cooks! We ate dinner and breakfast with the families. I would recommend that you book directly with Sapa Trekking as all the money goes in right way. Trekking with Sapa Trekking was a fantastic experience and I would definitely recommend it to everyone!

We visited eight cities among the 3 countries and liked sapa the most largely because of the two day trek we did with our super fit Hmong guide Mrs Pang. I appreciate the assistance that they're giving the community and local school children with the funds. Incredible to just walk though the local villages and witness the people going about their day to day lives. The scenery is incredible. You're basically walking through a rice patty valley with mountains on both sides and water buffalo, ducks, pigs, and other wildlife all around. The guides' English was most impressive considering it was learned through conversation. As a matter of fact, we surprisingly found that of all three countries people in Vietnam were most fluent in English! Definitely go to sapa and don't be afraid of the overnight train. It's comfortable and an experience. Avery

They are amazing people. TrekkingSapap.com is doing a great job and they are not only a tour agent, as they are also supporting local minority people. It great when you feel that you also helped a little the local community. The team responded very promptly to my emails both before and after the trip. You were courteous, patient, solution oriented and customer oriented at all times. Everything you organized was perfect. (Hotels with nice view, local guide and driver…) The local guide was pleasant and knowledgeable and adapted well to our needs. (We are probably not easy customers, I suppose, because we are usually individual travelers with a wide range of experience and not very used to being “guided”). Having always been keen walkers in our home country of Wales, we were keen to take a walking trip here in Vietnam. A friend recommended Trekking Sapa, we are both delighted that she did. We decided to go north for a little over one week and included the Sapa Easy Trekking tour into our itinerary. The Scenic beauty of this region certainly has not been exaggerated, it was adorable, as were the ethnic minority hill tribe people that we met. The tour was perfect, not too arduous but extremely well planned out and enjoyable. We had a really amazing time. We now intend to get fitter and tackle Mount Fansipan in the next few months. CanadaMe and my friend did a two day - one night trek with Sapa. In Sapa we went on the Handy Craft tour with My, who is from the Ta Phin village. We made Indigo blue dye pattern with wonderful view, it was peaceful and meditational. Thank you again for helping us plan the best trip we could ask for! Here is what wrote: Everything from my initial inquiry with Hong to arriving back in Hanoi after our tour was PERFECT! I contacted a few tour agencies and I chose Trekking Sapa because they had the best value, IMO. But, Hong totally exceeded our expectations! Always prompt in returning emails and providing suggestions and options to please my pickiness! He even picked us up from our Hotel (Hotel Elegance) and helped us with the transfer to the train station and even walked us up to the entrance of the train! In a nutshell, the Sapa tour itself was AMAZING! We wouldn't change a thing. Food was delicious. Our tour guide was fun and knowledgeable, she answered all our questions and spoke great English! United KingdomSapa is one of the best places for trekking that I have been to.

United StatesI don’t usually sign up for tours — they often lack authenticity, are packed with lifeless commentary and follow rigid schedules. Mr Hong and our guide My were fantastic and it added immeasurably to my experience to get to know them both. Mr.Carlos- US

United KingdomWe took a private 2 days tour with Mr Hong from TrekkingSapa.com to the valley in Sapa, which involved lunch with a host family. United StatesI just want to take the time and tell you how happy I am with the tour that you've customized for our family of 6. You customized a 5 day, 4 night trip for our family to tour Hanoi and Sapa. This was an amazing and unforgettable experience. We were so satisfied with our trip and experiences, we yearn for more, and would love to come back and visit soon. We rate your company service 5 star in all aspects. If could cold give our tour guide 10 stars, we would. Pang is the best tour guide that anyone can ask for and Hong is a great tour coordinator. I want to thank you for such a great experience in both Hanoi and Sapa. Pierre N. USA

DenmarkWe booked our Sapa tour through the Trekkingsapa company and we are really glad that we opted for them.

TurkeyWe went to Sa Pa for a two days trekking tour we booked from Trekkingsapa.com at special discount of 30$. It included accommodation, transfers, guide and foods. An affordable deal definitely. The tour to the mountainous areas was true adventures, not any difficult to take hiking trails. Friendly tour guide was average but never a problem anyways. We had stayed with luxury hotel that was no doubt a bit far from the main populated areas and the main city but loved the atmosphere and calm ambiance.

RomaniaAnna and I don’t want to risk our precious time in some strange places in a strange country like Sapa in Vietnam.

RomaniaMy husband and I spent 2 days trekking around Sapa with our local guide, Pang, and we would HIGHLY recommend calling or emailing TrekkingSapa.com to others.

United StatesWe are visitors from Seattle Washington. It's been 2 weeks since my family came back from beautiful Sapa, Vietnam. The fabulous visit and experience we had would not be possible without Phinh from TrekkingSapa.com, our Hmong guide in Sapa. She was an amazing guide. She was attentive, caring and super considerate through out our visit in Sapa.Phinh took care of the coordination and help us while we check in to our hotel. She also made sure we got to the restaurant each day where we had our best dinner after our tour. If there are any visitors out there that may be interested in visiting Sapa, I highly recommend contacting Phinh for an experience of a life time. The family and I had a great time and we learned a lot about Sapa, food and cultures from you. Keep up the great service. All the best and have great time.

United StatesMy girlfriend and I are in our 30s from New York City and visited Vietnam as part of a Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand extravaganza. Avery

They were very authentic, out of the tourist path and we got the chance to see people from different tribes and their unique cultures. Our local tour guide mrs Pang and her family were all very welcoming and we learnt so much about them. They are amazing people. TrekkingSapap.com is doing a great job and they are not only a tour agent, as they are also supporting local minority people. It great when you feel that you also helped a little the local community. The team responded very promptly to my emails both before and after the trip. United StatesWe went on the Simply Hmong and Mountain Riders trips with TrekkingSapa.com and would thoroughly recommend both. We enjoyed the trek, saw some good views and spending time with the family was very interesting. The good thing about this tour was that it was seeing local life in a natural environment. None of it felt staged or for our benefit, unlike other tours available would have been. We very much recommend this company and their tours.

AustraliaIt is difficult to put into words the wonderful experience we had through TrekkingSapacom. The emotional impact is one we will continue to feel for years to come. After extensive research we found that most trekking through Sapa was a sort of generic standard tour. We wanted to get off the beaten path and TrekkingSapa delivered. We contacted them via email and Mr Hong replied quickly and politely, answering all of our questions and then some. We had numerous correspondences and he made us feel comfortable and welcome.

GermanyHi Thu, My pleasure to give you some feedback about our tour that I booked with your company We had a great trip. Perfect trip also Our trip was planned and organized through you. This was a very pleasant experience. You was always available (phone and e-mail) for questions and adaptations while we were still discussing the outline of the tour and you was always available and helpful while we were on the road. I hope that in the future there will be another opportunity to plan and carry out a tour through TrekkingSapa Kind regards from German, and a pleasant weekend, -- Carolin

VietnamMy Wife and I live in Ho Chi Minh City where I work as a teacher at one of the big International schools. Highly Recommended.

United StatesGotta say, I loved my summer vacation this year. Three weeks in Vietnam, loads of great nights out, terrific food and people and plenty of excitement. The highlights for me were the Mekong Delta and Sapa. In Sapa I decided to do a bit of trekking, unusual for me, but it sounded like fun. It was, real good fun! The people in the region are unbelievable, it’s like going back in time., I had no idea that people still lived like this. The scenery and the weather were great also. One of the best times I’ve ever had. Big shout out to the travel company Trekking Sapa who I used.

United KingdomLast January, I and my son did the Tour in Sapa. Trekkingsapa organized the tour for us. This is a really easy trek but with very big rewards. We crossed picture perfect paddy fields, lots of villagers in those triangular hats working in the fields and lots of cute country animals. We stopped at two places to eat with the locals, and the food in this region is probably some of the best local cuisine you will eat in the world! The locals are really simple people and very hospitable as well. I wish I could do a longer 2-3 day long trek here, I am sure it must be quite an experience! Best regards, Margaret

United StatesWe are from USA and travelled to Vietnam last month. We did a Sapa Tour Trekking. This is very lovely area along with a few friends. This scenery you get to see here is picture postcard like. I got some lovely photographs of rice fields and traditional Vietnamese farmers. This trek is not really physically taxing so even if you are not an avid hiker, you can complete it easily. A day is enough here as you will be able to cover most of the scenes. Our guide took us to a traditional home for lunch and the food was really tasty and filling. Overall, a great experience. We highly recommend Trekkingsapa to all our friends. United KingdomMy wife and I booked a Sapa Tour in Vietnam with TrekkingSapa.com. They usually provide some excellent english-speaking guides. The trek itself is about 6 hours, and shows you a slice of life around in the mountain villages (belonging to the many ethnic groups). Many other local women folk (speaking impreccableenglish, french, germanetc) walk alongside you, sometimes with their babies on their backs. If you chat with them, kindly buy some trinkets from her at the end of the trek. There's a stop for lunch in one of the villages. The trek through the valley was a highlight of my entire trip through vietnam; I HIGHLY recommend TrekkingSapa.com!
