Cat Cat Village is far from the center of Sapa about 2 kilometers. It is a traditional village where people make ends meet by handicraft jobs such as planting flowers, weaving and making bronze jewelry. The reason for this common feature is that H’mong people always attach special importance to maintain and polish their traditions over time. Therefore, they still preserve so many unique customs which other regions do not own or have origins as well.
One of the most attractive ethnic villages in Sapa is Ta Phin Village. Far from Sapa Town about 14 kilometers, Ta Phin Village is located in a four-sided mountainous valley but it is quite wide and flat, which creates an imposing scenery for this village. Some interesting experiences are bathing herbs, buying brocade or enjoying some specialties served by local people.
Ta Van is the main habitat of Giay ethnic group.
