We visited 2 villages in total over the 2 days. Cat Cat on the first day which was a fairly short walk – it seemed this village was very much set up for tourists so was a little disappointing. We could not fault our guide who was very good; she spoke very good English, was knowledgable and gave us some interesting information along the way.
On the second day we went on a 12k trek to Lao Chai Village. Our guide was fantastic – My. She spoke Excellent English and gave us lots of information about the local village and even took us to a local home there. She really went above and beyond and made our day even more memorable (even in the rain, thunder and lightening and muddy conditions).
