20.00pm – TrekkingSapa’s tour guide come to pick you up from your hotel then transfer to Ha Noi Railway Station and catch the night train to Lao Cai (overnight on the train, the cabin with 4 berths, soft sleeper and air-conditioning). Arrive Lao Cai 5:30 or 6:00am.

Sapa is the focal point for mountain travel in Vietnam, and is a riot of colour and atmosphere as people from the myriad ethnic minorities of the hills gather in the markets. The ‘Flower Hmong’ wear rainbow-coloured smocks, while the Red Dao’s traditional costume is a more muted indigo but topped off with a bright red headdress. When all of the mountain people congregate, the result is a feast for the eyes and the senses.

*** It takes about 8 hours to go from Hanoi to Lao Cai by night train.

The train arrives at around 6:00 am. Look for the “Trekking Sapa’s Logo & Your Name” sign when you exit the train station, as our guide will pick you up there and transfer to the former hill station of Sapa. In the terraced hills and mountains of this area, the expansive green landscape is enlivened by the colors of its hill tribe population – flashes of shining silver jewelry from the necks and wrists of indigo-clad H’mong and the scarlet hues of the turbans worn by the Red Dao can be seen.

After having breakfast at local restaurant, a short rest and some last preparations before our Sapa trip. Then You will take a tougher trek that takes further down the Muong Hoa Valley to the village of Ban Ho ). The scenery is beautiful, and at Ban Ho Village there is the opportunity to meet people of the Tay minority. This is a long trek with a lot more off-road trekking. For this reason, it can only be done when weather conditions are good. You will take a car to the Red Dao village of Giang Ta Chai, the start point for the trek. Here we meet the Red Dao minority with their colourful taditional dress and spend time looking around the village. We follow local paths out of the village and begin trekking through a wilder area to the Tay and Black H’mong village of Seo Trung Ho.

Picnic lunch is taken at an appropriate spot along the route. Arrive in Village, you can walk to visit the ethnic peoples and enjoy beautiful sunset. Stay and overnight at village. After check in the room then you have 1 hour party for dinner with Dzao family ( listening to music, enjoy a little wine & soft drinks).

With ‘Homestay’ experience, your overnight accommodation is provided by a local family in their traditional house-on-silts. There are some private rooms on the first floor for priavte tour and you will have toilet or bathroom sharing. The sleeping corner is set up with a single mattress (thin, but adequate), blankets (ditto), pillow and mosquito net. The restroom is at standard and a few steps from the main house.

Approx: 14 km of trekking  

Following a breakfast with local people, enjoy marvel at the breathtaking scenery morning, then you trek further down the valley to the Ta Trung Ho Village and the village of Ban Ho to observe the local life of the Tay minority. In good weather, we can walk to the river where it’s possible to swim.

Picnic lunch is taken at an appropriate spot along the route. Finally, we either make a steep accent by foot up the side of the valley or take a car directly to Sa Pa.

In the afternoon free to explore the town on your own. The car will pick you up for the night train back to Hanoi. Arrive at Lao Cai railways station and take the night train back to Hanoi.

Approx: 12 km of trekking  

Upon arrival at Hanoi train Station your time with us comes to an end. Here you can catch a taxi back to your hotel by yourself. Everyone at Trekking Sapa, hopes that you have enjoyed this amazing trip into the ethnic lifestyle that is a way of life in the wonderful region of Sapa.
