Reviewed On: Apr 10, 2019We are 2 couples and I decided to contact Trekking Sapa to organise us a 3D2N trip. None of us regret it! I'd like the spirit of Trekking Sapa, and I was right to do so. We were all impressed by their actions towards the H'mong community and we could really feel that the Trekking Sapa team was fully engaged.we appreciated Trekking Sapa concern for the people, their education, the help they could offer them and their eco attitude (no plastic bags, less plastic bottle as possible,...). Definitely a different way of visiting, and a really good one. Everything was decided through emails with Mr Hong who was very helpful and answered to all our questions, and the trip was organized according to our wishes, especially regarding the lenght and difficulties of the walks. We had decided to go for a slow pace and we arrived to Sapa 1 day before our trip. We went to see them to check were the place was, eventhough we were supposed to go there only the day after, just before leaving for Sin Ho. We were more than welcome and it felt like home. We learnt so many things thanks to Hong 's explanations. We went to Sin Ho with our 2 H'Mong guides. A long drive (we knew it) but worth it. The scenery was great, the guides wonderfull and we loved everything. The walks, the food bought to the market before cooking a delicious lunch that we shared with a Black Dao lady, the Sin Ho market, the Homestay in a remote Black H'mong village, the exchange with the villagers thanks to Pang's qualities as translators. Pang were really knowledgeable, enthouthiastic and cautious. They spoke a really good English and explained us the H'mong way of living, they took great care of us (Thanks a lot Pang from the all of us but mainly from Brigitte). There's some much more to say about this great experience that this review could be pages long. Just one regret, ont station plonger and doing other trips with them ;-) So, to conclude, I will just say : every bit of it is really worth it, GO...and ENJOY Thanks for everything Mr Hong and Pang and mainly for WHAT you are and what Trekking Sapa does. Reviewed On: Apr 17, 2019My family and I have used Trekking Sapa for two of our big vacations within the past year. The most recent was our trip to Vietnam. Trekking Sapa takes care of every last detail. The only thing we have to do is get our flight to and from our destination and the rest is taken care of. I tell them how many days and they come up with a customized vacation. The best thing, if there is something on the itinerary that we don’t want, we can tell them and they have another option. They are very flexible and detail oriented. They have great and informative tour guides and safe and courteous drivers. We will continue to use Trekking Sapa for our vacations. Fantastic! Hong is a great guy too!! Ms.Sandra Wilson - Singapore

"Sapa daily life"
De La Baie d’Halong aux Temples d’Angkor , December 2012
Reviewed On: Feb 11, 2019We did our homework on trekking companies and were not disappointed with Sapa Trekking. The company was extremely professional and communicative and the price was right for our group of 4. We are relatively fit and so asked our guide to take us on a moderately difficult walk. It was an amazing day! The views and surrounding areas were beautiful and we stayed off the beaten track as much as possible. This did not stop us being followed by 3 local women, which was mildly annoying and ultimately pointless for them, but that is just what you have to accept. Our guide was hilarious and had us in stitches with her fun and informative chatter. Such an incredible insight into their daily life. Lunch was huge and delicious and also included in the cost. A thoroughly wonderful day! Highly recommend this company, who also give back so much to the local women employed by them. Alice - Australia

Reviewed On: Sep 12, 2017We booked 2 days trip with Mr Hong from TrekkingSapa. He answered all our question fast and he may knew what i want to do.On the date of tour, he came to pick us up from hotel and go to station, help us to check in our right cabin on train before say goodbye. In Sapa. The Hmong house was lovely and we received the warmest welcome. We all helped to cook the lunch and were joined by generations of women (the men were farming). We all loved the food and the boys spent the time running around with the pigs, chickens, dogs and cats- just as we thought lunch was over out came the rice wine!! The walk back was a bit 'tiring' after all the wine but totally worth it. I think we all felt we found our spiritual home and would have move in with these lovely ladies if they'd have us!!! Thank you so much, Hong and TrekkingSapa for this incredible experience. Ms.Gary Butler -United Kingdom
"Unfortunate great trip with Sinh"
De La Baie d’Halong aux Temples d’Angkor , December 2012
Reviewed On: Sep 14, 2017What I will say is, this trip is very much about meeting the local Hmong people and getting to know the tour guide. It seems to me all the tour guides we met at TrekkingSapa were lovely and in our case we felt we couldn't have gotten any luckier than having Sinh! That said, it should be kept in mind that these are real homes of Hmong people and they haven't been changed or altered to accommodate tourists- quite rightly so- but it's useful to know beforehand that they really are very basic. The reason I say this is because we were told that some people ask to stay in the sort of hostel place for tourists once they actually see the Hmong house or ask to go back to their hotels. We would never have done that- partly because we felt it would have been rude but also because we wanted to experience how the Hmong tribe live day to day. I think it is good to be prepared with the knowledge that the homes are bare floors, corrugated iron roofs, no shower and an outside shared toilet. There is one big room with the cooking area, seating area and beds (one of which the family occupied and another which we had). There are cats and dogs, pigs and chickens that wander to the house before the doors are locked up at night. Again, this for us, was all part of the experience but it is good to know beforehand. Just one regret, ont station plonger and doing other trips with them ;-) So, to conclude, I will just say : every bit of it is really worth it, GO...and ENJOY Thanks for everything Mr Hong and Pang and mainly for WHAT you are and what Trekking Sapa does. SingaporeMy family and I have used Trekking Sapa for two of our big vacations within the past year.

AustraliaWe had already been very impressed with TrekkingSapa from the quality of their written communications when I initiated correspondence with them several weeks before our intended trip. I chose TrekkingSapa based on detailed reading of a cross section of Trip Advisor comments for the top rated Sapa tour operators. To be fair, there is not much of a cross section available for them, since the comments and reviews are almost universally glowing. Ivonne Flores –Australia
"Sapa daily life"

AustraliaWe did our homework on trekking companies and were not disappointed with Sapa Trekking.

NorwayOn this trip, you will get to see some beautiful scenery and having a guide from a good tour company really does benefit you in that they can take you the best routes and you don't get pressured to buy things from locals as you tend to on the standardised routes which are also packed with tourists. Also tour gudie is able to give us a lot of information about the area and people and was really well informed to answer any questions we had. Ms.Ingvild Finsrud – Norway

United KingdomWe booked 2 days trip with Mr Hong from TrekkingSapa.

MalaysiaWhat I will say is, this trip is very much about meeting the local Hmong people and getting to know the tour guide.
