Sapa is a mountainous region in the North West of Vietnam. It is accepted throughout the world as one of the most beautiful places on earth. 20.30pm – TrekkingSapa’s tour guide come to pick you up from your hotel then transfer to Ha Noi Railway Station and catch the night train to Lao Cai (overnight on the train, the cabin with 4 berths, soft sleeper and air-conditioning), Arrive Lao Cai 5:30 or 6:00am.
Sapa is the focal point for mountain travel in Vietnam, and is a riot of colour and atmosphere as people from the myriad ethnic minorities of the hills gather in the markets.
The ‘Flower Hmong’ wear rainbow-coloured smocks, while the Red Dao’s traditional costume is a more muted indigo but topped off with a bright red headdress. When all of the mountain people congregate, the result is a feast for the eyes and the senses.
*** It takes about 8 hours to go from Hanoi to Lao Cai by night train.

Sleep on Train Day 2: The Muong Hoa Valley
Your train arrives at Lao Cai at approximately 6.00am at Lao Cai on the Chinese border. Please look out for our guide who will be at the station, holding a card clearly marked with your name. From here we will transfer you by private car to Sapa, a 90-minute journey through amazing scenery. you will breakfast before setting out for a car ride through the MuongHoa valley, seeing the famous rattan bridge, Waterfall and your first village of this trip, Giang Ta.
We continue through the Fansipan Mountain Range to Seo Chong, home of the Red Dao. This is one of the prettiest villages in the whole region and contains the highest waterfall in the area, with a drop of about 220 feet. It is here where you will have your overnight home stay.

Following a breakfast with local people, enjoy marvel at the breathtaking scenery morning. Then you will start trek up to the mountain for visiting Ta Trung Ho village, is located at about 1450m above the sea level.

A company called Trekking Sapa can arrange everything for you. They have built a reputation for honesty and good planning. We had a great time, I’m not lying. It was really good. The rice terraces look really great, like they are somehow just hanging on to the edge of mountains. The people here all dress in traditional costumes ,you can tell each tribe by the colours.

Reviewed On: Apr 04, 2019This is a full 4 day trekking tour that takes in fantastic scenery, waterfalls and allows you to get up close with the ethnic hill-tribe people for which the area is famous. They were for me the best part of the tour. They are so friendly, many speak English quite well and they all seem really keen to practice on you. The overnight accommodation was interesting and about as varied as you could wish for. Two nights on overnight trains, two nights in the homes of ethnic minority families and one night in a perfectly good hotel in Sapa. I have made some friends on this trip that I know I will be staying in touch with. I made the trip as part of my months in Southeast Asia. I was meeting up with friends in Thailand but for this part I was alone. It was excellent! The friends who had met on the first few days stayed together for the last day that was a free day and had a great time in the town. We had a good time on the train back to Hanoi and hung about together there also.

United KingdomSapa is becoming a haven for trekkers, in the north of Vietnam. It is very special and provides all that you need for a great walking holiday. A company called Trekking Sapa can arrange everything for you. They have built a reputation for honesty and good planning. We had a great time, I’m not lying. It was really good. The rice terraces look really great, like they are somehow just hanging on to the edge of mountains. The people here all dress in traditional costumes ,you can tell each tribe by the colours.

SwedenThis is a full 4 day trekking tour that takes in fantastic scenery, waterfalls and allows you to get up close with the ethnic hill-tribe people for which the area is famous. They were for me the best part of the tour. They are so friendly, many speak English quite well and they all seem really keen to practice on you. The overnight accommodation was interesting and about as varied as you could wish for. Two nights on overnight trains, two nights in the homes of ethnic minority families and one night in a perfectly good hotel in Sapa. I have made some friends on this trip that I know I will be staying in touch with. I made the trip as part of my months in Southeast Asia. I was meeting up with friends in Thailand but for this part I was alone. It was excellent! The friends who had met on the first few days stayed together for the last day that was a free day and had a great time in the town. We had a good time on the train back to Hanoi and hung about together there also.
